Governance

In order to conduct Chapter business and serve members, the Phoenix Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors. Each Board member is elected by a member majority vote and serves for two years with the exception of the Director at Large, who serves a one year term. These terms are staggered so that not all Board members are up for election at one time. The Board consists of the following positions:

  • President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • VP - Communications
  • VP - Marketing
  • VP - Membership
  • VP - Professional Development
  • VP - Programs
  • VP - Technology
  • VP - Information Systems
  • VP - Volunteers
  • Director at Large
  • Past President

Board members are elected at the Chapter's annual general meeting which takes place each November. Requirements to serve on the Board include, but may not be limited to:

  • Commitment to the work of the IIBA and adherence to  Chapter Bylaws
  • Membership in good standing with the IIBA and local Chapter
  • Knowledge and skills in the Board position being sought
  • Willingness to serve, lead, and attend meetings of assigned committees
  • Attendance at Board meetings and the annual general meeting
  • Support of and participation in Chapter events
