Governance
In order to conduct Chapter business and serve members, the Phoenix Chapter is governed by a Board of Directors. Each Board member is elected by a member majority vote and serves for two years with the exception of the Director at Large, who serves a one year term. These terms are staggered so that not all Board members are up for election at one time. The Board consists of the following positions:
- President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- VP - Communications
- VP - Marketing
- VP - Membership
- VP - Professional Development
- VP - Programs
- VP - Technology
- VP - Information Systems
- VP - Volunteers
- Director at Large
- Past President
Board members are elected at the Chapter's annual general meeting which takes place each November. Requirements to serve on the Board include, but may not be limited to:
- Commitment to the work of the IIBA and adherence to Chapter Bylaws
- Membership in good standing with the IIBA and local Chapter
- Knowledge and skills in the Board position being sought
- Willingness to serve, lead, and attend meetings of assigned committees
- Attendance at Board meetings and the annual general meeting
- Support of and participation in Chapter events
